Managing Director & European CLO Portfolio Manager

Hek Mathieu is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for NGC’s European CLO platform. She serves on the firm's European Investment Committee and is responsible for portfolio management, security selection, and relative value analysis across European leveraged credit markets.

Prior to joining NGC in 2020, Hek was a Portfolio Manager at Ellington Management Group, where she managed investments in leveraged loans and high-yield bonds. Earlier in her career, she held credit investment and research roles at Morgan Stanley, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and Haymarket Financial, building extensive experience in fundamental credit analysis, portfolio construction, and European leveraged finance.

Hek earned a Master of Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Business Administration from HEC Montréal.
