Co-Head & Portfolio Manager

Russell Pemberton is Co-Head of NGC and Portfolio Manager for the firm's Structured Credit strategies. He is responsible for investment strategy, portfolio construction, and portfolio management across NGC's structured credit platform. Russell has more than two decades of experience in CLO investing and structured credit, with deep expertise in asset selection, origination, structuring, trading, syndication, and capital markets.

Prior to joining NGC, Russell led the new issue CLO platform at RBC Capital Markets, where he was responsible for structuring and executing CLO transactions and advising institutional investors across the CLO market. Previously, he held several senior leadership positions at RBS Securities Inc., including Head of CLO Origination and Head of CLO Structuring, and earlier served on the firm's CLO secondary trading desk. Earlier in his career, Russell held senior roles across multiple CLO businesses at JPMorgan Securities Inc. and Bear, Stearns & Co., where he developed extensive experience across the full CLO lifecycle, from structuring and issuance to trading and portfolio management.

Russell earned a Bachelor of Science in Analytical Finance from Wake Forest University.
